Down One Anniversary Party

Down One Bourbon Bar and Restaurant celebrates its first year in business, the return of warm weather, and the completion of construction work in front of our business with a party on March 22, 2014. The event will feature a barrel tapping, barrel signing, and toast of our newest signature bourbon barrel: 1792 Ridgemont Reserve. This Kentucky Bourbon is aged 10 years. Guests may take advantage of 1-year themed offerings, including select $1 shots, $1 glasses of wine, $1 beers, and $1 food specials from 4 p.m. to 1 a.m. Entertainment will be provided by DJ Tank from 9 p.m. to Midnight.

The restaurant, located next to the KFC Yum! Center on the corner of Third and Main, and has become a featured Bourbon spot along Louisville’s expanding Bourbon Row. It is squarely in the middle of the planned bourbon distilleries along Main Street, and features more than 100 bourbons, rye whiskeys, local craft beer, specialty cocktails and distinctive wines by the glass. It has also selected a single barrel of bourbon and bottled it as a private collection, changing selections as its signature bourbon is consumed. Down One’s food menus have also grabbed the spotlight, featuring flavors that are layered in an extraordinary way.

The first year has been one for the books with Down One Bourbon Bar & Restaurant being featured in National Geographic Traveler Magazine’s “Best in the World: Must-See Places in 2014.” The article also showcases a photo of the “Get Splashed” wall at Down One. The restaurant and bar is also ranked in the Top 55 Bourbon Bars in America by the Bourbon Review, the number three Best Bourbon Bar in Kentuckiana by, and was voted number three best Bourbon List in the LEO Weekly’s Reader’s Choice Awards in 2013.
