Wild Turkey Master Distiller’s Dinner
Down One Bourbon Bar will host an intimate Master Distiller’s Dinner with Wild Turkey Master Distiller Jimmy Russell. The gourmet dinner, held in the private, speakeasy room, includes three courses with drinks paired to each course.
The menu includes a passed canape’, shrimp and grits, and roasted lamb shoulder gyros. The canape’ is paired with a Kentucky Reviver–a drink featuring Wild Turkey 81, Cointreau, Lillet Blanc, lemon juice, and a mint sprig. Admiral Russell’s Punch is paired with the shrimp and grits. The drink features Russell’s Reserve, Black Strap Rum, lime juice, ginger beer, and Angostura bitters to garnish. Finally, the roasted lamb shoulder gyros are paired with the Boulavardier, a drink featuring Wild Turkey Rare Breed, Campari, Noilly Pratt Sweet Vermouth and Regans Orange Bitters.
The Wild Turkey Dinner is the second in an expected long series of Master Distiller’s Dinners. It will be held on Thursday, April 18th at 7 p.m. Tickets are $45 per person and include three drinks (tax and tip not included). Seating is limited. For reservations, call 502-566-3258.
